When our kids are little we expect certain behaviors like an occasional temper tantrum, sucking on a pacifier, and crawling around on the ground playing with toys. But if a thirty or forty year old is engaging in that same behavior we’d be concerned. That’s because we expect growth with time. And that’s true spiritually as well.
