When Jesus declared, “I am the good shepherd,” He was communicating His care and concern for us. Just like what a shepherd does for a flock of sheep! Each of us need a good shepherd in life and Jesus is the only one qualified to do so. With that said, we need to be aware of hirelings, who have very selfish motivations.
