Welcome to this short three-part broadcast on the Feast of Hannukah, a message given by Michael Gabizon PhD.(ABD).
The story of Hannukah (Feast of Dedication), familiar to Jewish people, concerns the rededication of their temple after it had been desecrated by the Syrian madman Antiochus Epiphanes. We can read the historical account in greater detail in the apocryphal books of 1 and 2Maccabbees. While we do not hear of “Hannukah” per se in either the Tanakh (Old Testament) or the Brit Chadasha (New Testament), we do read of the Feast of Dedication in John 10:22-30. In this pericope, Yeshua claims His divinity when declaring, “I and the Father are One”. And just prior to this pericope, He very clearly sheds much light on His role as the Great Shepherd.
How might we grow in our sanctification from this message on the Feast of Hanukkah? It will encourage us to stay close to the Word of God, which Antiochus wanted to remove from the Jewish people. By abiding in it we will avoid the danger of deception, and focus only on the object of our worship, Yeshua (Jesus) and Him alone (that is, Yeshua + nothing!).
Please join us for this message. If this teaching has encouraged you and helped you to refocus and stay committed to the precious Word of God and to the Great Shepherd of your life, we would love to hear from you. Be blessed and Shalom.
