So far, in this series weʼve typically looked at one parable at a time, breaking down each analogy. Our primary text has been Matthew, thirteen, which records many of these parables. And we will be in that portion of Scripture today, but weʼre also looking at the Old Testament, which gives a foreshadowing of why and how believers receive these “literary devices,” and their methods of communicating the truth of Godʼs written word.
