In chapter twenty of 1 Samuel, David appears to fear for his life because of death threats by King Saul. Yet Jonathan, Saulʼs son reassured David that nothing is going to happen. In fact, Jonathan cites the name of the covenant God of Israel, and that the Almighty is on Davidʼs side and would protect him.
