In the Bible, Jesus speaks about the condition of the heart and money in Matthew 6:21 when He said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” It speaks of how powerful money can be (love/hate relationship). It can either control us (we become a slave to it), or as we surrender to God, including our money (treasure), we allow Him to have control of our lives, and then our money can become a conduit for His work, His Kingdom, and His purposes. Seeking the latter comes with the promise that all the things we need in life will be taken care of.
