Today we’re at the tail-end of First John chapter five. It’s interesting that John would end the letter encouraging the reader to keep themselves from idols! We’ll learn today that these idols are lifeless, useless substitutes for the real thing. And Jesus is the real thing, the true and living God. So why settle for anything less!
