There is no shortcut to the Christian life. There is no easy way. You want to know the Word of the Lord? “The word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept.” Precept upon precept—just a daily grind of getting into the Word of God; line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little. That’s the reason that so many Christians today are in a backslidden condition. It’s not actually that they’re weaker than anybody else. They just don’t spend enough time in the Word of God.
