As we move along in our study of the life of David, and the making of a Psalmist, we stop to consider his godly reaction to the death of his enemy Saul. One might easily expect him to throw a party and celebrate when he received the news, but David didn’t. In fact he would grieve as though he had lost one of his best friends. There’s a lesson in all of this for us, so let’s turn to Second Samuel one, and verses 11-27, as pastor Damian shows us how to be gracious in victory.
