Do you know the boiling frog metaphor? It’s an apt metaphor describing the concept of compromise. If a frog is placed into hot water, it will jump out. But if you place the frog in tepid water and slowly heat it, the frog will not perceive the danger. Pastor Mike Fabarez reminds us about the slippery slope of compromise.
You can know something about a person, their biography, greatest achievements, famous sayings...but still be a stranger to them. Real relationships require something more. Presence. Pursuit. A genuine willingness to close the distance.
