Architects sometimes use an optical illusion called “forced perspective” to make a building appear bigger than it is. And Pastor Mike Fabarez cautions that the same thing can happen to our perception of ourselves. When we lose sight of God’s greatness, we can easily inflate our own importance!
You can know something about a person, their biography, greatest achievements, famous sayings...but still be a stranger to them. Real relationships require something more. Presence. Pursuit. A genuine willingness to close the distance.
