They say the average person spends one-fifth of his or her life talking! Think about that for a second. Among all those words we say there are bound to be some spoken in anger, some we wish we could take back, and others that really blessed people too. The Bible says on judgment day, we’ll actually give an account for every careless word we’ve spoken. I think you’d agree, with that in view, we need to work on controlling what we say. Mike Fabarez is the founding pastor of Compass Bible Church in South Orange County, California and has been in pastoral ministry for more than 30 years.
