We tend to measure ourselves on a sliding scale. “Well, I may not be perfect, but at least I’m better than so-and-so.” But Pastor Mike Fabarez warns that this attitude can undermine our relationship with God. We aren’t called to be “better than the next guy.” We’re called to Holiness.
You can know something about a person, their biography, greatest achievements, famous sayings...but still be a stranger to them. Real relationships require something more. Presence. Pursuit. A genuine willingness to close the distance.
