When we’re talking about commandments, some people will settle for the Ten Commandments. God’s brought the believer way up above those. The Lord Jesus has given certain commandments to those that are His own, and that’s what we’re talking about. He’s talking about loving one another, believers. He’s talking about rejoicing in the Lord. And He’s given us these for our guidance. He’s given them to us for our discipline, if you please. And for the child of God, even under grace today, he doesn’t do as he pleases; he does as Christ pleases. We’re today under Him, not under a law. You know what our business is today, primarily? Is to give out the Word of God.
