And so having mentioned the Lord Jesus Christ—and he calls him "our" Lord Jesus Christ. He’s my Savior. Can you say today He’s your Savior? And then can you say the Lord is my Shepherd? It’s one thing to say He’s a shepherd. It’s another thing to make it possessive. The Lord is my Shepherd. Can you say that today? Because he goes on to say here that He “might deliver us from this present evil world.” Now do you notice something there that’s very important? He “delivers us from this present evil world.” There is therefore a present value of the gospel, which proves its power and genuineness.
