It’s wonderful, my friend, to know the grace of God that reaches down and by His mercy—not by effort, not by trying, but by trusting. Not by doing something, but by believing something have the power of God transform our hearts and lives. And that’s what Paul meant when he says that He died for our sins, that we might be delivered from this present evil world. And if there’s any group of people that ought to be different today, it’s believers, my beloved. We ought not to be conformed to this world that we’re living in today, and we ought not to be as weak-kneed as so many are today.
