Remember when you were a kid and your parents forced you to apologize to someone or else you would get in trouble? That's how some of us see repentance before God. We think we just need to say sorry so we can avoid being punished for our sins. But that's not true repentance!
You can know something about a person, their biography, greatest achievements, famous sayings...but still be a stranger to them. Real relationships require something more. Presence. Pursuit. A genuine willingness to close the distance.
